From the very Rocks and Soil a free scenario for USEME

“Sergeant Al Tucker listened to the comms unit embedded in his helmet with mounting alarm. His small detachment of troops and a single APC had been given one of the hundred or so positions all around the site which was to be contained. Information was sketchy and the new clips and cassettes of rounds he had been given to hand out were downright odd; really heavy. Now central, about a mile back and talking to the loiter drones high above was telling him that the ‘hostile targets’ were on the move and his position was one of a dozen paths they were taking. Contact was imminent.

His alarm was down to the description he was being given at the last moment for what the ‘hostiles’ were. Not men. Not animals. Not robots. Moving piles of rock! Most about six or seven feet tall and a few as large as the Charger APC in which he was standing in the top hatch. That was insane. He was a rational soldier and had seen action in Peru and in Antarctica as well as the Boston Metroplex. He asked for confirmation and was told to hold position. To stop anything that came his way and to use the heavy ammunition just issued. Well orders were orders and he would obey. Shaking his head he opened the local comm and relayed his instructions to the troopers and to the driver and gunner of his APC….”
