USA Tariff and Continued Shipping update

On the 29th of August 2025 the current de minimis exemption (800.00USD) agreement between the United Kingdom and the United States of America on goods shipped will change. We have held off on making our statement on this until now to gather as much information as possible. Let us begin by stating that Alternative Armies will continue to ship orders both large and small and trade as we always have to our customers in the United States.

THIS ARTICLE WILL UPDATE EACH DAY UNTIL ALL IS SETTLED.

We have been advised by Royal Mail that there will be a short delay to implement the new CBP (Customs and Border Protection) service and system and their DDPD. This is what will automatically collect duties from us at point of sale. To that end all non door to door courier paid orders (these are being shipped as normal and all duties are paid already upon them) as couriers have their system in place for the USA will be held by us for a week. We will keep you updated on this article as things change and as always email us on sales@alternative-armies.com with your order number for a direct response.

All of our metals and resins along with books and other products are all made in the UK and we have been putting the HTS (Harmonised Tariff Schedule) codes on packages for many years so that will not change.

Alternative Armies has revised its USA shipping rates with a small increase in pricing for standard airmail, tracked airmail and door to door courier. As a result of this we, as per the new rules, are paying ALL duties and fees at this end at the point of an order being placed. This means no American customer will have to pay anything upon receipt of their Alternative Armies package. You continue to pay at check out, earn your loyalty points and that is it as an American customer.
