3DR Con IV after action report!

3DR Con VI happened over the first weekend of May this year (2nd & 3rd) 2026 in Portland, Oregon (USA). We had well over 50 attendees & around 30 bespoke event scenarios that were run, plus multiple pickup games throughout the weekend. We had everything from truly oldhammer 198x type games to RPG's to 90's wargames — a little something for everyone!

Saturday started out strong with a massive game of Man O' War in the morning, pick up games of Rogue Trader from '87 and even some 54mm games of Inquisitor on a beautiful wargaming table. From there, the afternoon carried on with massive WFB games & more Rogue Trader. Several Alternative Armies retained knights were fielded for the "Battle of Hamburger Hill" scenario & we finished the day off with a Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay scenario "The Affair of the Hidden Jewel". Many pints were had and oaths sworn after day one of games between new friends and old.

Sunday at 3DR Con VI started out with more Rogue Trader games and even a handful of local, indie wargames like Cyber Savage & Winter of Fangs which were both very well received. Lots of pick up games like Epic 40k and even a historical wargame was played (Crossfire, for ww2).

Overall, we had another really successful year. Above all, 3DR Con is about friendship & preserving the legacy of these older games. So, it's really great to see familair faces show up each year and a handful of new ones as well!
We are super grateful for Alternative Armies' prize support as always & folks really loved the prize pool this year! The Oldhammer codes VNT3, VNT8, VNT9 and P11 were super.
