Sketching in to a metal reality...

“Garren Madwon serves as a guardian of knowledge across the known galaxy. His beautifully sown robes signify his revered status while the astrotech staff is a multi-functional tool capable of accessing ancient data archives, projecting holographic star charts or even defending against threats. His helmet with a visor connects him to a wide neural network, allowing interface with planetary databases or to scan alien artefacts in real-time. He travels between worlds preserving history and uncovering lost technologies. Garren is a bridge between the past and the future.”

The idea for Garren Madwon came from a pencil sketch by our dear friend Andy Gorman who is a talented chap and did (among other things) the cover art for HOF Fire Team written by Gav Syme and Bob Minadeo. He has been rather under the weather so it was our pleasure to turn his sketch into a dual scale metal reality. We can further now state as an update that Andy is well; on the mend and hopes to make further artwork really soon.

Offered free in all orders earlier this year the 28mm and 15mm versions of this character were very well received by wargamers and many kind comments were typed and emails sent to us. Some six hundred castings went out free before the models were added to our regular ranges for purchase. The codes are AS03228 in the Alternate Stars Range and the smaller one in the HOF 15mm Range as AS03215.

As well as showing the pencil sketch we turned into metal miniatures there have been requests for some scale shots showing the two of them with other miniatures from our ranges. Enjoy and simply seek the shown codes in the search bar on the site to find them if you are keen.

With his astrotech staff this character will work as a specialist or a civilian or even a space opera monk on your table. Exploring alien worlds and recording their histories in your gaming he can be a neuro-jacker or an interfacer with non-human technology.

We may work with Andy again in the future to create another miniature. If we do then for sure we will tell you all.
